Backpack sighting in Teaser
The first ever backpack sighting! It's a rainy day; we get a brief glimpse of his black backpack, hanging off his right shoulder as he walks into the West Wing and runs his card through the security checkpoint. He hangs it up on the coatrack in the corner of the bullpen as he and Donna are talking - which immediately leads to the question of what he's got in the backpack. Must be pretty light if he can hang it up on a coatrack...

Backpack sighting in Act 3
A view from the back! Josh, clad in a black trenchcoat and grey scarf, has returned from his Claypool deposition and is walking down the hall. He stops to talk to Toby. The backpack's on his right shoulder and his right hand's hooked in the strap. There's a baseball cap hanging from the backpack.
Backpack sighting in Act 4
On the second day of deposition, Josh has a little confrontation with Claypool. Sam holds him back (well, he yelled "Josh!"). Josh backs off and rubs his eyes, then picks up his backpack from the floor and stalks out of the room. Sam then delivers his memorable "I'll bust you like a pinata" line to Claypool.

Josh is in his office, talking animatedly on the phone. As he moves around, we can see his backpack behind him. It's sitting on top of a stack of binders, propped up against the back wall in between his two big windows.

This is a great backpack sighting - 2 whole minutes of backpack glory. Good long look at the backpack as Josh and Donna walk around while discussing his ability to hold his liquor. You can see the baseball cap dangling from the backpack as he walks. When he's over at Sam's office you can see that there's a padded handle/strap/grip across the top of the backpack. But I still don't know what brand of backpack it is. <frown>

At the hotel, just after check-in - Josh is struggling to get his card key into the lock of his hotel room door; Donna walks up carrying his backpack and carryon bag and dragging his suitcase behind her.

Backpack sighting in Act 2
Josh is coming back to the West Wing after his meeting with Steve Onorato; Donna's standing waiting for him in the lobby. We get to see it from the back as he walks. It's on his right shoulder, and the camera pans around his right side as they talk. He and Donna walk back to his office together and he puts the backpack down on his visitor chair and fiddles with the zipper, but he doesn't actually take anything out of the backpack, so we still don't know what's in it.

Josh has the backpack on his right shoulder and is pouring himself a cup of coffee as he and Donna are talking about Josh's upcoming jogging meeting with Hoynes. Josh then walks to his office and puts the backpack down on one of his visitor chairs because his regular chair has been sent to Curtis for repairs.
