And you've got to ask yourself if no one on the internet wants a piece of this, just how far from the pack have you strayed?

It's the return of the Friday night staff poker game! Yes, it's their "night off," yet Leo, Josh, Toby, CJ, Will, Larry, Ed, and, of course, the President are all in the West Wing for some tissue-paper thin pastrami and a few hands of poker. CJ's obsessing over the eggs-stand-on-end-on-the-equinox myth, while Will and Toby go mano-a-mano over who can toss playing cards the farthest. Leo and the President keep getting pulled away from the game to deal with a downed drone in a Russian province, while Josh interviews Joe Quincy, the Republican lawyer shunned by his own party who's looking to fill the position Ainsley Hayes left vacant, despite Josh's disappointment that Joe is not blonde or pretty or possessed of an odd named. Things get a little tense when a sniper fires several rounds into the pressroom, narrowly missing CJ, Toby, and Will. Donna watches over Josh, who insists he's fine, while Zoey takes time out from studying to make sure her father -- and her ex-boyfriend, Charlie -- are okay.

Dialogue Excerpts:

CJ:  I don't think you did it at the exact moment.

Josh:  I did.

CJ:  When?

Josh:  Last September.

CJ:  That was the autumnal equinox.

Josh:  It only works for the vernal equinox?

CJ:  Yeah.

Josh:  You know what's more likely?

CJ:  That it doesn't work at all?

Josh:  Yeah.

CJ:  It does.  I've seen it.

Will:  That's the joker.

Will tosses the card into the trashcan of the next room.

CJ:  Oh, my God, did you see that?  Did you guys see that?

Toby picks up a card and tosses it into the trashcan, too.

Josh:  We're not gonna need that three of clubs?

Will:  Standing at the podium in the pressroom, I could hit a seat in the fifth row.

Toby:  No, I don't believe that's true.

Will:  Really?

Toby:  I believe it's a myth.

Will:  Well, there are fifty-two cards in this deck.

Josh:  Fifty-one.  The three of clubs is--

Toby:  Dollar a card?

Donna:  But for the sake of appearances, here around the office so that people wouldn't suspect, I'd pretend I thought this guy was handsome.  Of course, all along it'd be a lie, because of how handsome you are.  And powerful.

Josh:  Your sense of humor's a bit of a high-wire act, isn't it?  You're really trying hard to thread the needle.

Donna:  And half of it you don't even get.

Bartlet:  You all right?

Toby:  Yeah.

Bartlet:  What about you?

CJ:  We're fine.

Bartlet:  Will, how many fingers am I holding up?

Will:  Who's Will, sir?

Joe:  Do they suspect terrorism?

Josh:  Well, he was shooting a modified M-16.  It was terrorism.

Joe:  I meant terrorism directed at -- national terrorism.

Josh:  He shot at the White House.

Larry:  You know, you're particularly upbeat for someone who's been shot at twice in four years.

CJ:  Am I?

Larry:  Yes.

CJ:  That's 'cause I've got faith, there, mi compadre.

Larry:  Faith?

CJ:  The substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

Toby:  Yeah, but I think what he's asking -- bump ten -- I think what he's asking is why, on most other nights, do you think the world's going to hell in a hula hoop, but tonight--

CJ:  We dip twice and eat gefilte fish?

Toby:  Suzy Cream Cheese, do not attempt the Haggadah.
