Erev Yom Kippur.
After lots of discussion, the President boldly vetoes the "death tax" bill, gambling that the Republicans won't be able to muster the votes to override his veto and embarrass him politically. Consequently, Democrats push for political favors in return for their support. Josh takes a meeting with a hale and hearty Governor who has garnered attention as a possible challenger to the President, asking him not to run. After an entertainment reporter labels CJ a clotheshorse on TV, she takes the unfortunate reporter out for a spin in front of the press corps. Charlie's fellow staffers urge him to make a deal for immunity in the hearings into the President's non-disclosure.
