We could all be better teachers.
The sex education report is in, and "abstinence-plus" is certainly not what the staff was expecting. Josh and Sam, while ostensibly meeting with a couple of Representatives about the internal "investigation" into accusations of drug use by White House staffers, agree to stuff the sex ed report in a drawer until after the midterms. The trade has the President's blessing, because it will save Leo from Congressional hearings on his past. Toby relishes the opportunity to defend PBS, Sesame Street, and Julia Child. CJ and Mandy "vet" the parents of a hate-crime victim to make sure the father is not embarrassed that his son was gay. As it turns out, Mr. Lydell isn't embarrassed of his son, he's embarrassed of his President's weak stance on gay rights.

Dialogue Excerpts:
CJ: The President will sign the bill with fifteen pens, and I guess someone on my staff wanted you to know that.
Danny: CJ?
CJ: Tell me you don't have a question about the pens.
Danny: CJ, I have a question about the pens.
CJ: Everything but?
Josh: Yes.
CJ: Ah.
Josh: Yes.
CJ: They want teachers to teach...
Josh: Yes.
CJ: And so that sticky wicket joke was--
Josh: A regrettable pun.
Sam: There is a town in Alabama that wants to abolish all laws, except the Ten Commandments.
Toby: I saw it.
Sam: Well, they're going to have a problem.
Toby: Because the Constitution prohibits religious activity in any form connected to government?
Sam: Good point. Two problems.
Sam: We never have our chats anymore.
Toby: What chats?
Sam: Our late night chats.
Toby: Did we ever do that?
Sam: No.
CJ: Are we off the record?
Danny: Sure.
CJ: Are we?
Danny: Yes.
CJ: Feels like we're still on the record.
Danny: I don't flick a switch or anything, CJ. We're off the record.
