Don't you ever forget the battles you have fought and won.
India invades Pakistani-held parts of Kashmir, and the President is suddenly facing the possibility of a nuclear conflict. Toby makes the call to leave CJ out of the loop, leading to a credibility-damaging gaffe on her part. Despite Leo's admonishments, Bartlet calls in reinforcements in the form of eccentric British diplomat, Lord John Marbury. Meanwhile, an annoyed Josh is deposed by a citizens' advocacy group intent on outing Leo as a recovering alcoholic and drug addict. Mandy wants to work for a liberal Republican, to Sam's, Josh's, and Toby's shock, and Charlie wants to date Zoey Bartlet -- to the President's dismay.

Dialogue Excerpts:
Sam: How could we not have an ambassador in Pakistan?
Bartlet: We were getting to it.
Toby: How could the CIA miss 300,000 armed people walking over--
Bartlet: They didn't exactly miss them. In fact, they've got a very good photo now.
Toby: Yeah, but the idea is to spot them before they cross the border, right?
Bartlet: Yeah.
Toby: Oops.
Josh: I'm being deposed at lunch tomorrow.
Sam: Who are you bringing?
Josh: I'm not bringing anyone.
Sam: Josh.
Josh: It's a non-event.
Sam: You should bring a lawyer.
Josh: I am a lawyer.
Sam: Seriously. You should bring a real lawyer.
Bartlet: Zoey just walked right up to him and asked him out.
Leo: She's a very outgoing girl.
Bartlet: See, but a dungeon would have put an end to that.
Leo: We learn these lessons the hard way.
Bartlet: You're just trying to cover up the fact that you're enjoying this.
Leo: I'm not trying to cover it up at all.
Bartlet: I'm a father in pain.
Leo: Well, really you're just a pain.
